We're still getting used to the sounds of our home. We wake up at odd hours and then can't get back to sleep. Sometimes it's our crazy cat, Kitty Witty. She runs up and down the hallway, sliding and slamming in to the walls. At around 3 a.m.! Or the Wild Turkeys being "natural", or the deer in the leaves, or the greens maintenance workers. Last night it was the torrential down pour that made a puddle on our floor, since we left the windows open.
We had a lazy morning and didn't get over to Jessica's until 10ish. We walked to the Farmers' Market and then took off for our chores. Wills works on Saturday, so we keep Jessica company and drag her on our errands. Something we never did when she lived at home. Not that she wasn't invited, but she wasn't interested. We ended our day lunching at Baja Fresh. That's where we're getting the food for the Mission Accomplished party.
We spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up the driveway from the DG (decompossed granite) parking pad erosion. Lovely idea, just doesn't work in the real world. We'll be adding rock this week. We've finished up with the boxes and as soon as the contractor gets their stuff out of the third bay, we'll have all vehicles parked in the garage. Not too bad for 5 weeks in the house.
We LOVE our house, and still love our contractors. It's good to be us.
