Day 2 - Good News

Can we just say that the ride from Eureka to Ukiah is beautiful. Even when you're flinching at every loaded pickup truck that you see. Note to people....tie the stuff down and cover your load, someone's life may depend on you being careful....at least so you don't ruin their one week ride. And while you're at it, hang up and drive.

We stopped for lunch at a great little place in Geyerserville (101 and 128) that Dave remembered from a ride with Scotty. Scotty knows all the goat trails to ride and the best places to eat. Great quality of food, some dining outside, down to earth staff...Hoffman House.

Then the guys took off and the ladies followed in the Tahoe, Edie's foot on ice and stretched out on the bench seat asleep. Officer Green was okay to ride the girl's bike...since it wasn't pink.

Safely home and all the excitement is over, Dave carted Edie to Urgent Care in Livermore for x-rays. It's not broken! We were all more than a bit surprised at that news. Even the fine medical staff at Urgent Care in Livermore were surprised. Note to medical people....never a good idea to look at the patient's owie and say "Ewwwww".

So this trip ends on a bit of a down note, we'll file it away for another time and try it again.
