No Photos, but.....

We did have a lovely time wine tasting at Steven Kent Winery in Livermore. The set up is a little bit different. You pay a fee, thank you Lindsay, and then a hostess takes you to a "table", which is a wine barrel with a table top. You're given a little snack (bread sticks, chunks of dried cheese, special almonds, and dried cranberries) and then your glass.

We found a couple of wines that we liked enough to purchase, especially nice with our family discount. And they hand you the bottles in a lovely little cloth carrier...nice touch.

I Know You Don't Think It's Possible, But...

He is even cuter!  I can not believe how much he's changed since Friday.  Ezra is focusing, smiling, very strong at holding his head up, and even breathing better without the whistling from his larynx.  He has completely stolen our hearts away.  Dave is going to be really jealous since he didn't get to see Ezra today.

Where's Ezra?

I've received several calls from "friends" asking if my camera is broken.....no, it is working fine. Little Ezra was taken to SoCal by his parents to visit the Swenson clan. I promised to share, so I really couldn't put up a fuss. While he was away he had a clogged tear duct and visited the Kaiser in Costa Mesa. I suggested they see if they could visit all the Kaisers in CA before he turned one, but Jessica didn't think that was funny.

I'm happy to report Ezra is doing fine and he had a fabulous time with the Swensons, but who wouldn't? You see Jessica and William are a little like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and we're the guy's family and the Swensons are the Greeks. They are way more fun.

Since returning to P-Town, William has a major bad sore throat and Jessica has mastitis (a breast infection common to new nursing moms) so she went to Kaiser.....their home away from home. But I was able to spend the afternoon taking care of Jessica and holding baby Ezra (my new favorite activity). I got to spoil my daughter and she didn't even roll her eyes once.....only took until she was 26, but worth the wait.

I'll post new photos soon....but rest assured...he is even cuter than before :)

Ezra, Ezra, Ezra

Can you tell that these are Cal colors? Thank you Sharon Collard....I think you're more than a bit biased!

Ezra's First Scrap

Auntie Megan gets to hold Ezra
Sweet little baby boy Ezra, sporting a very cool outfit
Missy Diane loving baby Ezra

Monday afternoon means scrappin' and card making at Diane's.  Since Jessica and Ezra are feeling so much better, and are better rested, it was out for an afternoon of fun.  There was a lot of attention and loving on this sweet baby, and there were a few cards made too.

Welcome Twenty-Ten

Ezra spent the day in his Grandpa's arms
We welcome 2010 with open arms and not because we were eager to see 2009 come to an end.  I think that with everything we've been through in the last 3+ years we have learned to embrace the important things in life.  As much as I miss my fat investment portfolio and high property values, that's not what is important.  When we hold sweet little baby Ezra and wonder what his life will be like, the noise and nonsense goes away.

Today began with a call from Jessica before 5 am.  Wills returned to work and she was fretting over the health of her baby and called us.  Praises that we have a relationship where she was free to call at that hour and praise that it ended up to be something that was not a crisis.  Although it did feel like a crisis at the time!

We spent the entire day with our daughter Jessica and our new love Ezra.  We're all a bit weary of trekking for medical advice and help but thankful that there are caring and trained people to help us because Lord knows we haven't a clue what we're doing.  And many thanks to our nursing friend that took a 5 am call!

Dave held the baby for hours while Jessica went to the guest room and slept and I slept on the sofa.  I'm feeling very blessed to have a husband that would do this right in the middle of bowl season!  But he just may be trying to train Ezra to love football since we failed miserably with Jessica.  A grandchild is a second chance and hope for the future.

I know I'm the grandma, but this is one cute little guy!  And if I'm sounding too ooey-gooey, well it could be the lack of sleep :)
