Flamenco, Doing the Tourist Thing....

We paid for tours with our travel agent.  NOT something we would recommend doing.  Really.  We knew better.  We did this one other time and swore we would NEVER do it again. It was such a bust. And bad value. We threw this trip together and went with the tours.  We would live to regret this later.

There is something to be said though for setting the tours up in advance.  After a long day of travel, and the big change in time zones, you're not thinking clearly.  It helps to have something set up in advance so you don't waste time while you're adjusting. Or take time to evaluate the various options while vacationing.

We signed up for a dinner and show of flamenco dancers.  It was total tourist.  We did enjoy it.  The dinner was tasty and we were able to try out many of the local dishes.  We're sure this wasn't fine dining, but we were able to sample many of the local dishes, and it worked for us.

The dancing was interesting.  We're sure we missed much of the meaning.  It looked like a bull fight theme.  The dancers all looked very angry.  Which we noticed through out our trip, on posters advertising Flamenco shows.  The dancers looked angry.  And the performers were all rather old.

We didn't know any better, so it was all good.
